Solar plexus chakra meditation: opening, cleansing, strengthening and healing

The solar plexus chakra is the third chakra of the seven main chakras. It stands for our thoughts, identity and beliefs. In a world dominated by intellect, logic, and science, it is not surprising that this chakra is one of the two most disturbed and blocked chakras besides the root chakra. This meditation is – within the chakra meditation  – for many people to be regarded as particularly important.

Meditation: Activate solar plexus chakra

Duration: about 7-10 minutes

  • Stand upright with your knees bent, legs spread shoulder width apart, and inhale through your nose deeply into your abdomen.
  • Now support your hands on your thighs as you lean forward. Take a deep breath and exhale through the mouth again.
  • Now stop the air and pull the belly as far as possible inwards and upwards without breathing. Now move the abdominal wall 10-20 times quickly and vigorously from the inside to the outside without breathing.
  • Take hold of your breath
  • Breathe pure, clear energy into your solar plexus and return it back to the universe as you exhale, releasing all tension in this area
  • Let the energy expand
  • Repeat the entire exercise 2 more times.
  • Now stay in the starting position for some time, continue to breathe energy into your solar plexus chakra and feel the warping.

This exercise can help activate and open your solar plexus chakra. With regular use disappears as an addition also superfluous belly fat.

Meditation: Opening, strengthening and healing the solar plexus chakra

Duration: about 5 to 10 minutes

Annotation:

This meditation works with the earth energies. This is especially useful at the beginning, to achieve a powerful but also organic and gentle opening of the chakras and not too much stand out. But it is also possible to simply take energy from the cosmos through your field if that feels more natural to you.

If you feel safe with this meditation and your own energy, you can work with the 8th chakra and the peak chakra instead of the earth and breathe the energy from there into your chakras (see: Chakra Compensation). If you enjoy working with visualizations, for example, you can imagine a sun over your head.

 Preparation of meditation

Head to a calm, soothing place in the lotus or cross-legged, laying your hands palm-down on your knees (you can also use the traditional Mudra for the solar plexus chakra, see below) and breathe in and out three times. Make sure you are sitting straight and close your eyes.

Concentration on the solar plexus chakra
  • Imagine how long roots grow into the soil, how to connect to the earth. Feel the power and the support that flows from this connection to you
  • Keep this idea within you until a deep sense of rootedness and stamina expands within you
  • Become aware that the whole universe is made of light, so are you
Breathing into the solar plexus chakra
  • As you inhale, you draw white, pure light through the root chakra into your sacral chakra, toward your solar plexus chakra. If you like, imagine how the light turns deep red, then orange in the sacral chakra, and finally, it gets light yellow in your solar plexus chakra and makes these chakras shine from within.
  • As you exhale, this light flows through your entire field and the lower chakras back to the universe
  • With each breath, the light in your solar plexus chakra continues to expand into a bright yellow sphere
  • For some time, as the energy in the lower three chakras continues to expand, let it go deeper and deeper, feel, let yourself fall

Completing the meditation

  • If you feel that the maximum extent has been reached, finish your meditation
  • Put your hands in the heart area, feel your heart energy and thank the universe.
  • If you want to do more Chakra work then you can now go to the Heart Chakra meditation and skip the next point.
  • Open your eyes at a comfortable pace and slowly become aware of your surroundings.

Solar plexus chakra meditation with mudra, mantra and singing bowls

  • For this mediation use the Mudra for the solar plexus chakra. While maintaining this stretch, put your hands together, your thumbs crossed. (see picture).
  • Focus your attention on the seat of your solar plexus chakra under your sternum. Take a deep breath and start breathing the sound of RAM with the exhalation. Repeat this 15-20 times and make sure that you exhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
  • Feel how your solar plexus chakra fills up with light and continues to expand
  • Meditate in this way about 5-10 minutes
  • Open your eyes at a comfortable pace and slowly become aware of your surroundings.
  • Singing Bowl: The accompanying listening to a swinging singing bowl especially for the solar plexus chakra, of course, best in real, but also as mp3, is great support for the meditation.

Chakra balancing: Solar plexus chakra and throat chakra

  • Relax your body and watch your breathing
  • Feel the movements of your abdomen as you inhale and exhale, as the navel moves outward as you exhale and inward as you inhale
  • Feel the breath flow between your throat and your navel. When inhaling, draw your attention from the throat chakra to the solar plexus chakra and exhale the other way around
  • You will find that after some time concentrating on this respiratory flow, the whole thing reverses: When inhaling, your breathing will flow upwards towards the throat, while exhaling downwards towards the navel.

Through this meditation, your solar plexus chakra is opened and at the same time, it serves the balance between the neck and the solar plexus chakra.
